Here are a couple of tools I’ve used to plan projects out.

Welcome to the world of mindmapping.  Mindjet is a top of the line desktop tool that’s available on PC and Mac.  I also use http://www.Mind42.com which is a free mindmapping tool that also allows you to import Mindjet miindmaps.  I like Mind42 because it also allows for collaboration online.

If you are looking for an email management software and you want your emails to get through SPAM filters, Aweber is one of the best choice you can make. Aweber has the strongest relationships with most hosts including Yahoo, Gmail and MSN and hotmail.  You have the highest chance of deliver-ability with it and avoid your messages from going into your client’s SPAM folder.

Email Marketing $19/Month!

I Heart AWeber.com

Another Email Manager Autoresponder solution that I use is 1AutomationWiz.  This integrates shopping cart and autoresponder. Just connect it with your Merchant Account.  1Shopping Cart is the 1 shopping cart system that the top marketers out there are using .

Constant Contact is another email management tool which you may have seen or heard radio and television ads for.

There are also free alternatives to check into.

For example MailChimp has both a free and paid option.

Nutrition and Health

The Institute for Integrative Nutrition

For anyone looking to develop a high level of mastery in nutrition
with the opportunity to create a thriving career as a Health Coach,
I recommend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition aka IIN, based
locally here in NYC.

For me it was one of the most transformational experiences when
I attended 7 years ago, just a few months after my Dad passed
away from a stroke. Going to the school created ripple effects all
around me especially my family. Almost everyone close to me is
making better health choices and benefiting from understanding
the power of prevention.

Personally, by learning how to detoxify my body I was able to
clear away all my allergies, which previously I had been getting heavy
duty shots and taking medication for over a dozen years. I also have
more clarity and energy than when I was 20 years old just from
embracing basic lessons, cleansing and having healthier habits.

Earlier this year, I offered the school a video testimonial to share
my appreciation. You can watch this and other student testimonials
here on Youtube.

If you’re interested in the training, the school is offering grants
for new students. Mention my name when you call and they will
Provide you with a $500 grant that can be applied to admission.

The founder of the school, Joshua Rosenthal has created a unique
culture and experiential teaching style.  In the process, The Institute for
Integrative Nutrition has become the largest nutrition school in the
world and with many of the top authorities on nutrition teaching there.

Another benefit is that even though I graduated close to seven years
ago, I have access to conferences, parties each year, an active
online community, my own personal interactive coaching site,
masterminding, ongoing training through their immersion program
and much more. These are all free and available to all graduates.

In the Fall of 2011, we had a free two day alumni conference with
lecturers Deepak Chopra.Sally Fallon, Mark Hyman Joel Fuhrman and
others.

The school also puts a big emphasis in teaching students to market
themselves and be competitive as coaches, which is something
I find lacking in most other coaching programs.

Much of the program now is virtual, so students can study anywhere.

Health counseling is it, folks. It has become crystal clear to me that Integrative Nutrition is the solution to the current healthcare crisis.

Michael Pollan recently reported in the New York Times that, “according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, three-quarters of health care spending now goes to treat ‘preventable chronic diseases.’ We’re spending $147 billion to treat obesity, $116 billion to treat diabetes, and hundreds of billions more to treat cardiovascular disease and the many types of cancer that have been linked to the so-called Western diet.”

The world is finally waking up to the importance of good nutrition and preventative health. New York City’s public health officials have just unveiled an
ad campaign that shows globs of human fat gushing from a soda bottle, in their struggle against high-calorie beverages. Michelle Obama has planted an organic garden at the White House and is working to set up a farmer’s market near the White House.

People everywhere are seeking support with making lifestyle changes that will both improve their health and lower their doctors’ bills. That’s where you come in! Our work is in higher demand than ever before. As health counselors, we are equipped with the tools to help others to start eating healthy and making sustainable choices. Are you ready?
